About Paid Before Lunch

Paid Before Lunch is a small, independent website with free tools for freelancers, sole traders and small businesses. It started with a simple frustration: most "free" invoice makers want an account, add a watermark, or push you towards a subscription, and few of them know the rules in your country.

So we built the tools we wanted: an invoice and quote generator that works in your browser, knows what your tax office expects, and gives you a clean PDF in minutes. Plus calculators for the questions that come up when you work for yourself: VAT, day rates and payment fees.

What we believe

  • No sign-up, no catch. Every tool is free to use as often as you like, paid for by advertising.
  • Your business is your business. Our tools run in your browser. Your invoices, customers and bank details stay on your device and aren't sent to us.
  • Local rules matter. We research each country's invoice rules from official sources and link to them, so you can check.
  • Plain English. Clear answers, with the working shown.
